Self-Sufficiency Committee   

Mission:

The Self-Sufficiency Committee is responsible for assisting the CoC Board in increasing awareness of, and participation in, the employment and employment readiness programs available in Westchester County.

Specific Responsibilities:

·       Identifies available resources to assist individuals in preparing themselves for, and obtaining employment.  This includes vocational and other employment readiness training, resume assistance and mock interview support, and job search and placement services.   

·       Maintain active directory of available employment resources in Westchester County and make directory available to all CoC member organizations and other relevant partners.

·       Convene CoC member organizations to share information about available employment resources including having service providers present at Committee meetings.

Organizational Matters:

The Committee shall meet bi-monthly (6 times per year) and at such other times as the Committee Co-Chairs shall deem appropriate – either in person or virtually.
